An old Russian Volga. Anyone know the year? |
An older Russian Lada 1200 Estate. This one is in very nice condition. Other than the missing rocker mouldings, it appears complete. Does anyone know the year? |
A nice older Mercedes Coupe. Note the billboard in the background. 111,900 hryvnia equals about 13,988 dollars. |
If anyone sees an interesting car in Ukraine that they would like added, let me know.

This is not a post regarding Luhans'k, but it's still interesting.
Another Bentley in front of the hotel |
Has anyone seen one of these before? It's a Rexton II, which is made in Malaysia. Behind it is the new MG. They were parked on the Andreevsky Descent. |

One of the many electric trams in Dnipropetrovs'k. These are used quite widely and are a great way to reduce air pollution. I believe Americans should seriously consider reestablishing tram lines. |

Here are a few photos of a very, very bad habit many Ukrainian drivers have. With the fall of communism and breakup of the Soviet Union, suddenly more people were able to acquire cars, but they did not know how to use them properly. Many Ukrainian drivers have yet to develop proper driving etiquette. They treat sidewalks like roads, and they do not pay attention to pedestrians walking on the sidewalks. More than once, like many others, I have come close to being hit while on a sidewalk, which is supposed to be the safest place for a pedestrian. It can get dangerous at times, so one really has to watch for traffic on sidewalks of all places. It is also very inconvenient and aggravating, as you walk around a multitude of cars crammed onto a sidewalk. I actually get rather angry, as do others. At one time, Kiev was a very pedestrian friendly city, but no more. Drivers in Luhans'k are no better. Note that all of these cars are parked on sidewalks which are not marked for parking spaces. I don't care what a person drives, pedestrian safety comes first.
Sunday, Sasha and I visited the museum and took a walk. During our little excursion, I managed to photograph a couple of the electric trams that run around town. I'd like to ride on one of these sometime, but I don't know where they go. They never seem to be as crowded as the marshrutkas (route taxis), so they would be a bit more comfortable.

A Russian Volga. I thinks these are neat cars. I wouldn't mind owning one. |

I ran into an old bus parked in a lot at the Medical College here in Vinnytsia. I thought it was interesting, so I'm posting some photos.
It is a LAZ 695-N, built by Львівський автомобільний завод
[L’vivs’kyi Avtomobil’nyi Zavod], literally, Lviv Automobile Factory, thus
the acronym "LAZ."
If anyone knows the year of manufacture, feel free to send
me a message.
Apparently, this bus has spent time in Budapest.
